Don't forget the State of the School Address is on Tuesday, Feb. 24 from 7-8 PM in the church basement. Free babysitting will be providing in the gym.
Looking for volunteers. If you have 30 minutes to give from 11:45 AM to 12:15PM, we need indoor playground volunteers. Due to the extreme cold, kindergartners thru second graders play in Mrs. Bennett's room. We need one adult to monitor them . As for third thru sixth graders, they play in the gym with a scheduled sport. If you have time once a week to help us monitor indoor recess that would be fantastic!
Reminder that Friday is a half day of school. There will be busing. Dismissal will be at 11:45.
It's hard to believe I am finishing my 5th week. Time flies when you are having fun!
Stay warm and have a Blessed week,
Terry Nugent, Ph.D.
State of the School Address
It is with great enthusiasm that I write this invitation to invite you to our first ever, “State of the School Address” scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 7 p.m. in the church basement.
As I understand there have been school meetings in the past, where information has been shared. I am requesting that each family participate and learn what we are doing to make St. Rose School even better than it is now. It is my hope to share with you a few of the challenges, the great things that are happening, where we are looking to go, and the process for finding our new principal.
Since I have come on board serving as the Interim Principal a few weeks back, I have celebrated so many amazing things here from the teachers to the support staff, volunteers and most importantly the students. St. Rose School is a shining star in this community. It is my goal to work with each of you to make it even better. There will be an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and ideas. It will be done in a private matter to be sensitive to those who do not like to share publicly.
While there are a few challenges we need to overcome, I believe that together as a St. Rose Community we can continue to grow our students and our school.
Please join us on the 24th for a one hour meeting. We have planned for free childcare in the gym that will free you to attend the meeting and allow your children to enjoy an hour of fun with their friends.
Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions or comments. I welcome your input.
Yours in Christ,
